The Amazing Pitch Idea

First of all, please hear out the pitches we came up with.

1.    A Naval Captain and his Lower, set out at sea for 15 years never seeing true land, finally set foot upon land only to be met with conflict.

2.    A Roman servant is mistreated and decides to take revenge by organizing a revolution to overthrow the emperor, but realizes how struggle of being an emperor and receives the same fate.

Why did we decide on these Pitches in the first place out of others that we came up with?

The first pitch just hit the bell for me and Isacc, towards us it sounded really unique from all the other ideas that came to mind, and unlike any movies that were made at that time. One of the main motivations in the story was the amount of things that have changed within 15 years of evolving human technology and trends. Two sailors who had embarked on the sea for 15 years finally Sea World as it is. Meanwhile, on their adventure, they cause a multitude of problems while they travel through the big city. I guess this idea came to me after I watched "The Pickle" which is a movie about a man who was put into a pickle tomb accident and woke up 200 years later only to cause more problems in social media with his absurd beliefs. I just recently watched this movie, and it was similar to our idea but its goals and storyline were far different than ours.

The Roman pitch was unique to me and Isacc because we were both into historical events and history overall since we found it fascinating. The main idea is that the servant was being mistreated in such ways that over the years he got tired of it and organized many men of servants to overtake the king. At night they plan, and in the day gather their supplies. It's quite a story we've thought of, if it were to be fully written, it would be a complex story, but sounds simple the first time you hear of the pitch itself. Overall the story's end is supposed to teach the servant how the emperor felt having all this power and responsibility, constant complaints, and the work he had to keep the city running. This is meant as more of a serious film instead of a more comedic as the Navy pitch.

We went with the decision of pitch #1, aka. The Naval captain and his lower who haven't seen land in over 15 years. We were going for a more comedic but a mix of both genres. To explain it better, the storyline itself is going to be a comedy, but also carries a lot of meaning and feeling along with it.
