Reflection On Video

Image
During my journey I came across a lot of problems and kinks that I had to solve, I was expecting to have problems that I would need to solve, but this time it was very unexpected. For example the weatherman incident, I didn't expect to get wet and have my equipment ruined while shooting the video, unfortunately, Nor did I expect to have a fight with Adobe support over an auto-renew that was paid but didn't renew my software, it's a new experience, but hopefully now that I've experienced these things I can prepare for them the next time they come across me. The script itself wasn't terrible, it was okay for the 5th time actually making a script, and usually when I do these types of projects as an editor, I usually ask for a couple things, Footage, and style of editing they want me to implement, and a list of their own ideas that they want me to implement in some way. I only had my own script, and I didn't know what way I wanted it edited in, I had a coup

Production blog: Revisions :/

Looking back through the footage the script, even with the improv itself seemed bland, and unenergetic, and I want to change it up to the point where it's more user-orientated. My current script consists of what I like to call our stages, which consist of developments between my arguments or informative speeches, and in this situation, it is a video introducing myself. Think of these stages as trees, they have leaves, branches, a trunk, and roots, it's a system based on the importance and building off as an organized operation in order to end up with a completed tree, shaped and maneuvered into the tree you first desired to have. I feel like there is a significant flaw in this concept because usually if you wanted to make a change or implement a new idea into the video, it would affect all the other roots and branches, if it's too small, the leaves won't hold, and if the trunk is not big enough the whole tree will fall down because the video is imbalanced now.

Production Blog: Don't trust The Weather-Man

Image
Have you ever heard the legendary phrase? "The cake is a lie", well in this case the, weatherman is a lie. The weatherman had ruined my video and delayed my footage by a margin. In my original plans, I had plans to go shoot a video at the park, because I had found a nice spot it is isolated but still as beautiful as ever, I scouted the area 2 days before, making sure it was a quality location to film at, as soon as I confirmed it I had packed my bags, and left it near the door before heading out. I was so despite to limit the number of things that can go wrong that I watched the morning news, with the knowledge that it would be a sunny day with a "very" low chance of rain, I was confident in their word because why would they lie about the weather, I get lying about the mafia group that roams the city, but the weather!?! This is simply unacceptable. I went out on a sunny day when I expected the sun to shine, which it was! I was doing well I set the green s

Production Blog: The Journey on

Now that I have my desired software and structure for my video, I'll have to start with the footage I need for the video. First of all, I need to pick a location, time, and weather for this footage, but of course, I can always just record in-doors, but instead my thinking is that I don't want the viewer to feel confined to a room, I want to make it feel like its all happing outside their homes, in the nature and beauty. For the footage, I will be using a standard phone camera or If I'm feeling fancy I'll use a VHS Sony camera, and then convert it to mp4 for an extra effect you normally wouldn't be able to achieve, and I feel as this effect would enhance the feeling of an outer world as everyone is used to high definition video and audio of people dancing on TikTok. For the footage, I will also be using a green screen, it's not the most reliable thing in nature as there are factors like wind, people, and grizzly bears, but I have a solution to that, a

Production Blog: Preparation

Image
The start of any great journey begins with preparation for the journey itself. The journey we prepare for requires a couple steps of preparation in order to succeed in the later steps of the Production journey we face, We had already gone over the basics structures of a production, and now we'll go over the basic parts needed for production. First of all, we need footage, without it there is no video, and there is no journey to travel, The footage is the overall basis of production, where it is added to, changed, or manipulated. Footage can come in many forms, either recorded in person or in a virtual setting where the footage may represent a category of genres like music, commercial, entertainment, live-show settings, etc. Next comes the composure of the footage, this may be a part of video structure, but also a very important part of content creation. When you have your footage established and finalized after you have correctly ordered the content to your desired timeli

Research and Planning for my Video

Image
First out I want to talk about the structure of the video, because structure decides how something will sound, look, and feel, and the amount of information it gives. First of all, structure means to "construct or arrange according to a plan; give a pattern or organization to", meaning it's going to construct this whole video together according to a pattern or organization. A normal video structure is Hook Intro Content Call to action These are simple steps used to make a structure template in a video, but I won't be using the same template to do mine. I'm going to use a process of adaptation where the video structure adapts to the content I'm making. Apart from the structure, the music is also a really important factor in the video, as it shows a lot of emotion and feeling of a video, and you can use it to manipulate the viewer to feel certain things, at certain moments in your video, It is a good factor to have at your disposal. For example, this video

My Intruduction

Hello! My name is Daniel P . I promise this is no sham, this is just going to be about getting to know me better before any of the fun stuff happens later on in the timeline. To start with the basics, I am a High School student currently in 10th grade working up to get my diploma, and someday a college degree, I don't know what the best option for me is, or if there's a better option, but I'm focusing toward a Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Or just Basic Engineering Majors. Engineering for me is really cool because not only do you get to go out and solve a bunch of problems, but you get to invent and create whatever comes to or lurks in your mind, and for that to work you need to have at least some originality or creativity. Engineering itself is a huge aspect of our everyday lives, and I hope to improve that and make the world a somewhat "Better" place than it was before I got them, solving problems, improving systems, and stoping your
